The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery Mobile app 2014-2016
The Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery was founded in 1398.
That is an important shrine for believers and a place popular with tourists which is located in the outskirts of Zvenigorod, in the Moscow region.
The application of the Monastery was created for those who are interested in the history and events of the monastery.

ВThe app consists of two main parts:
encyclopedic one and informational one
The users of the app vary a lot, so the most natural scenario for switching to sections through the menu, represented as large blocks on the main screen, was selected.
The general style of the interface is made up of a group of classical elements, based on the works of famous Russian artists such as Vasnetsov, Bilibin and others.
Observing the general style of the project, the logos and branding of the application uses ancient Russian calligraphy.
Savva
Work on the illustration of the plan took almost 6 months. In parallel with the development of the app, restoration works were under way in the territory of the monastery. We had to make changes and update the material in order to achieve full compliance. The staff of the monastery museum provided us with a lot of archival materials: photographs, engravings and manuscripts. There are many details on the plan which are interesting to look at.
In order to get the best photos we shot both in summer and late autumn. We took photos of the ensemble of ancient buildings, valuable artifacts in them. Monks, employees at their usual work and the pupils of the monastery shelter became our heroes in the shooting.

Going back to the past events with the help of the app, people learn the history of the monastery. The app helps to obtain detailed information serving as a guidebook.
